Types of concrete compounds
Before thoughtlessly combining sand and cement , adding the first crushed stone to the mixture, the employee should determine as accurately as possible which of the functional types the resulting concrete grade should subsequently belong to. According to the scope of application and properties, there are several varieties.
- Lungs. The weight for 1 cube of this consistency can vary from 500 to 1080 kg. Instead of crushed stone, it is necessary to add soft types of fillers (perlite, expanded clay, seashell) to cement and sand.
- Heavy ones. The weight value increases to 1600-2600 kilograms. This type is most popular when capital construction works are being carried out. As a filler for it, use the usual crushed stone placer, or select the appropriate fractions of gravel similar to it.
- Super heavy ones. At maximum strength, 1 cube of concrete weighs 3000 kilograms or more. Strengthening role is played by hematite, Berite, magnetite and metal scraps. Mainly, the production of such concrete consistencies is carried out in the factory according to the customer’s requirements.
