Moreover, along with the more expensive modern tools that are used to level or fill the floor, it is easiest to create a layer of cement mass with a thickness of more than 1 cm. Otherwise, you will have to spend a lot of money on consumable raw materials.
Fill the floor with cement compound for finishing
Types of surfaces created with the help of cement are needed in order to eliminate any existing defects (bumps, potholes, cracks) that do not allow using the existing base in order to lay a floor covering on top of it.
In its pure form, the use of a cement floor is not the best solution, because under the influence of external factors, the external part is destroyed. At a minimum, it is necessary to paint it with special paint mixtures. In this form, it is most often used in warehouses, garages, basements, and other technical facilities.

Dry

It is enough to install high-quality waterproofing and leveling support, on which the plates will be laid out. Most often, two-layer masonry slabs are equipped with a shift of the seams between them and a centimeter indentation between the walls and the coating.
Semi-dry
This method involves the use of M400 grade cement with fiber and plasticizers. Water is added to this composition in a minimal amount. The resulting consistency should release large volumes of liquid. The advantage of this is that the prepared composition can be quickly and immediately laid out on the prepared site.
For the evenness of the laid out building material, it is necessary to apply it on lighthouses with an additional check using a laser level. Under the screed of this format, a waterproofing cloth must be placed (you can use plastic wrap) with an overlap on the wall overlap. After leveling the coating on the beacons, it is recommended to sand it to an ideal condition.
Wet
Finally, the traditional and most popular method is pouring with the use of a kneaded composition, where in addition to cement and sand, various strengthening fillers are added. Note that in the room (based on its purpose) under such a screed, you can place a system of “underfloor heating”, waterproofing building materials, as well as heat and noise insulation.
The composition is filled in at the level of the maximum relief heights of the original base (by setting beacons and using a laser device) to obtain a flat floor. Creating segments allows you to break up the entire process of complex work. The cyclic action will consist of filling each segment while waiting for the previous one to partially dry out.
Additionally, the solution can be reinforced by adding metal, polymer, fiberglass elements (meshes) or fiber fibers to it. This is not relevant for the home, but it is required on industrial and production sites with a high load on the floors.
